In 2012 we, a group of travel experts and investors, bought a traditional teak-built ship in Mandalay and refurbished her to fulfil our dreams of traveling the Ayeyarwady River and its tributaries in style. Our ship, renamed M.S. HINTHA, made her maiden voyage as a cruise boat in 2013 on the Chindwin River. Since then we've done numerous trips along the Ayeyarwady River, all the way from Bagan to Bhamo with many satisfied customers. In November 2016, there has been a change in ownership when a new partner took over half of the shares. She is now operated by a small group of river travel enthusiasts with a long experience in travel and boating: one Myanmar, one German and a Dane. We aim at restoring old style river travel: leisurely trips that take you back to another time. Unlike most of the other boats of our size on the river we have a European manager aboard ship who will take care of our clients' needs.
Bagan Flotilla and M.S. Hintha booking office is located in Yangon in lieu of Azure Sky Tours Ltd, owned by one of the partners.
Bagan Flotilla Operations, maintained by the second partner, is managed by the second partner in Mandalay.
